Kunde Family pairing dinner tonight at 18 Steak

L’Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge’s 18 Steak restaurant will host the Kunde Family Winery pairing dinner tonight, March 2, beginning with cocktails at 6 p.m.

The dinner, hosted by fourth generation winegrower Jeff Kunde and winemaker Zach Long, will feature four courses paired with Kunde Family wines.

The cost is $89 per person, including tax gratuity and a complimentary bottle of wine. Space is limited and reservations are required. Call 224-4142 to book reservations.


Zoroona Mediterranean Grill celebrates second birthday this weekend

The Siegen Lane restaurant featuring Greek and Lebanese fare is celebrating its second birthday Friday, March 4.

Zoroona will be offering free baklava after 5 p.m., a gift card giveaway and belly dancing performers. On Saturday, March 4, the restaurant will host a performance from the traditional Palestinian dance group Turab Beladi starting at 8 p.m. Find more information on Zoroona’s Facebook page.

Museum After Dark rum tasting 

The LSU Museum of Art is partnering with the Baton Rouge Blues Foundation to host a rum tasting for Museum After Dark March 10, 6-8 p.m.

The rum tasting, with rum provided by Old New Orleans Rum, is in conjunction with the museum’s current Haitian art exhibit “The Carnival, The City and The Sea: Haitian Art from the Perry Smith Collection at the New Orleans Museum of Art.”

Tickets are $5 for museum members and members of the Baton Rouge Blues Foundation and $15 for non-members.


Canefield Tavern adds ‘Country Comfort Menu’ 

Southern kitchen and bar Canefield Tavern has debuted a new “Country Comfort Menu,” in which patrons can get three courses for a $20 prix fixe.

The new menu special is offered daily, Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 2-10 p.m.

Canefield Tavern is open daily, 8 a.m.-10 p.m.
