Where to watch the Super Bowl this Sunday in Baton Rouge

If you’re looking to get out of the house this Sunday, Feb. 2, and watch the San Francisco 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs among friends and locals, there are quite a few Baton Rouge bars and restaurants ready to meet your needs. Take a look at our roundup of several local spots hosting Super Bowl watching parties—and consider getting there early to grab a prime seat. (You probably know this already, but the game starts at 5:30 p.m.!)


Schlittz & Giggles on Ferndale

The Schlittz in the Perkins Road overpass area is airing the big game on the big screens. It’s also offering $2 drink specials and $2 off large pizzas starting at 4:30 p.m. Schlittz & Giggles is at 2355 Ferndale Ave.

Bengal Tap Room

The downtown bar is gearing up for a big Sunday Funday, with $3 mimosas and $5 bloody marys ahead of kickoff. There will be plenty of other drinks and food specials throughout the night. Bengal Tap Room is at 421 Third St.

Mid City Beer Garden

Mid City’s new favorite hangout is hosting a watch party. Gates open at 11 a.m., brunch is served until 4 p.m. Mid City Beer Garden is at 3808 Government St.

Lemoine’s Mid-City Daiquiri

The new Mid City hangout is opening its doors at 3 p.m. for a night of football-watching. The bar will be serving food and featuring live music as well. Lemoine’s Mid-City Daiquiri is at 5170 Government St.

Duvic’s Martini Lounge

The classy martini bar is highlighting its Refuel at Duvic’s bar cuisine in celebration of the Super Bowl. They’ll be serving barbecue starting at 4:30 p.m. until they sell out. Duvic’s Martini Lounge is at 2854 Kalurah St.

Squeaky Pete’s

The downtown lounge is offering festivities for the game, including Fireball shots every time your team scores a touchdown. Squeaky Pete’s is at 326 Third St.

Rally Cap Brewing Company

The new Baton Rouge brewery will be open at 11 a.m. providing food from Fete au Fete and a Squares contest for bar tabs. Rally Cap Brewing Company is at 11212 Pennywood Ave.

Gilla Brewing Company

The new Gonzales brewery will open at 11 a.m. and is serving pub food from Chef Richard all night. Gilla Brewing Company is at 13025 Highway 44 in Gonzales.

Main Event

The new entertainment venue outside the Mall of Louisiana will be airing the game and offering more than half off all activities and other specials throughout the game. Main Event is at 6401 Bluebonnet Blvd., Suite 660.
