Tiger Deaux-nuts begins fall flavor rollout

Look for flavors such as sweet potato and carrot cake this fall

Ah, the doughnut. America’s favorite sugary breakfast comes in many sizes and flavors, and Tiger Deaux-nuts on Government Street carries some of the most creative varieties in town. With signature doughnut like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Dreamsicle and Cookies & Milk already on the menu, the announcement of Tiger Deaux-nuts’ new fall lineup had us salivating. We tested out the first of the additions, and a few glasses of milk later, we’re ready to let you know what’s to come from Tiger Deaux-nuts’ oven.

Caramel Apple

If you ever enjoyed a caramel apple on Halloween as a kid, get ready for this doughnut to take you back to the crunchy leaves and sugar highs of your childhood. Before you dig in, lock up anything you don’t want to get sticky—the caramel glaze will definitely end up stuck to all your fingers. Whipped up from scratch for each batch, the caramel topping comes with a cinnamon-glazed apple slice bruleed to perfection on top.

Tiger Deaux-nut

The eponymous flavor of the shop comes special for football season with purple and gold sprinkles. If you want to be the hero of your tailgate, pick up a dozen or so of these addictive doughnuts and watch the feeding frenzy begin. What appears to be a simple doughnut brings a pleasantly surprising cinnamon spice in its glaze, just right for crisp afternoons in the shadow of the stadium.

Upcoming flavors

Though the shop is still finalizing many of its flavors for the autumn months, you can count on a pumpkin doughnut—likely with either a cream cheese topping or latte glaze—by early October. Other flavors on the way include a carrot cake and pecan as well as Thanksgiving-friendly flavors like sweet potato and orange cranberry.

Fall fixtures

In addition to seasonal flavors, a few of the shop’s rotating varieties will make more frequent appearances in the colder months. Doughnut fans can warm up with Tiger Deaux-nuts’ campfire s’mores-inspired confection and channel their inner lumberjack with the maple bacon. For an Irish coffee experience that won’t get you tipsy, try the Bailey’s Irish cream.
