The Rum House expands hours

The Baton Rouge location of The Rum House is now open seven days a week with hours of Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m., and Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. The Caribbean taqueria opened in late March at 2112 Perkins Palms Ave. It is the second location for the eatery and cocktail restaurant, which started in New Orleans under managing partners Michael Buchert and Kelly Ponder. The bar and restaurant is currently in the midst of expanding its outdoor area with a possible music stage or to give patrons more seating. A private event area is also in the works.
