Slow Food hosts local social next week

Slow Food Baton Rouge is teaming up with Bin 77’s chef David Dickensauge for a local social Monday, April 6, 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

The restaurant and bar will have passed appetizers and a cocktail special for guests. Dickensauge will also offer a $25 dinner menu Monday night, too. Check out the full menu below.

  • Covey Rise Farms local salad with spiced pecans, tomato tart-tartare, poached pears and apples, fried honey goat cheese and orange blossom vinaigrette
  • Two Run Farms lamb cheeks with tamale pave, smoked corn chow chow, black bean puree and paprika velouté
  • Two Run Farms short ribs with truffle “popcorn” grits, fermented farm wild farm greens, anchovy Dashi, coffee demi-glace and bone marrow Béarnaise

Next week’s event comes just a few weeks ahead of Slow Food Baton Rouge’s Dinner in the Field Sunday, April 19. The fundraising event starts at 4 p.m. with live music, cocktails and wine. A six-course dinner begins at 5 p.m. Read 225‘s story on Dinner in the Field.
