Emeril’s Chop House reveals opening date

Famed TV chef Emeril Lagasse’s new Baton Rouge restaurant has an opening date. Located inside L’Auberge Casino Hotel, Emeril’s Chop House will debut on Sept. 24, according to L’Auberge. Lagasse himself will attend the opening of the restaurant, which will feature a menu of steaks, seafood and cocktails.

Wine night

Learn how to sip wine like an expert at Cannatella Grocery‘s Sip, Savor and Discover Wine Tasting event. Attendees will get to try Italian wines and learn tasting notes. The event is $25 per person. Those wanting to claim a spot can call the shop at (225) 218-4361 to reserve.

A taste of fall 

While it might not feel like autumn outside, coffee drinkers can still celebrate the new season with seasonal offerings from local shops and brands. • Caroline’s Cookies is providing football fanatics with a sweet treat this month. The cookie shop’s September lineup includes LSU-themed treats, like a cookie bearing an edible Lane Kiffin photo. There are also other treats that can be used to celebrate any team, like a football-decorated chocolate cake cookie.
• Cheese, charcuterie and catering shop Crafted Nibbles is now available on DoorDash. Customers can now get their favorite boards and bites delivered right to their door.
• Local snoball chain The Meltdown Snoballs announced its seventh location in late August. The stand will be in Prairieville and feature a double-lane drive-thru.
