More bites

- Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux is working on a “next-generation sports bar model” that will decrease future restaurants’ square footage and increase flexibility and efficiency. The restaurant will still maintain its sports bar feel with a reimagined bar layout and TV walls, so customers won’t miss out on any big plays. There will also be a dedicated spot for third-party delivery pickups and an upgraded kitchen with new equipment. The new model is set to debut next year in a spot on Perkins Road.
- Local bakery CounterspaceBR has dropped its autumnal lineup of treats, including items like a pumpkin cream cheese loaf and apple crumb cake, along with gluten-free items. The shop will also have rotating Saturday specials like honey buns, apple pie danishes and gluten-free apple pie cinnamon rolls.
- Baton Rouge-born burger chain Smalls Sliders has added a new side to the menu. Customers can now pair their sliders with seasoned potato chips in addition to the brand’s waffle fries.
