Carne asada marinade

Yields 3 cups

4 cloves minced garlic

1 cup of jarred chipotle chiles

3 cloves minced garlic

1¼ teaspoons kosher salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1½ teaspoon chili powder

2 teaspoons cumin powder

1 teaspoon smoky paprika

¼ cup fresh chopped cilantro

1 teaspoon fresh lime zest

1 teaspoon fresh orange zest

¼ cup fresh lime juice

½ cup fresh orange juice

2 cups vegetable oil

  1. Place all of the ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Whisk until well combined.
  2. Carefully pour the marinade into a jar or bottle with a tight-fitting lid and place it into the fridge to chill until you are ready to use. This marinade will keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
