Lucy’s changing up cocktail menu
New margarita-centric menu could come as soon as February
Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar and Restaurant is putting a few new spins on the margarita in an effort to update its menu.
The downtown spot known for its sunny vibes, sandwiches, burgers and tacos is launching a new cocktail list that features prickly pear and jalapeño mango margaritas. The menu could be released as soon as February. Also included with the cocktail menu are pineapple painkillers (a frozen drink served in a cored-out pineapple) and a coconut-infused drink called the Coco Loco.
“We want to get on the map as the place to get a margarita in Baton Rouge,” Lucy’s director of operations Veach Tucker says.

Former specialties such as the Shark Attack (vodka, rum, gin, tequila, sour mix and tomorrow’s hangover) and Da Killer Blue Whale (Stoli blueberry and Cruzan coconut rum with lemonade) will remain on the drink menu. The worm and scorpion shots (!!!) will also remain an option for the brave drinkers out there.
