Where’s Lane? Coach Kiffin’s favorite BR spots according to his social media

Way before formally coming to Baton Rouge for LSU’s top coaching job, Lane Kiffin took to social media to tease visits to Louisiana’s Capital Region, sending football fans into a frenzy speculating if the posts meant a potential team change.

When the Tigers’ new head coach officially came to town, his social media accounts were awash with Capital Region restaurants, coffee shops and fitness studios he had taken a liking to.

Though Kiffin seems to be on a social media cleanse these days, here are just a few local spots we found on his pages before his digital hiatus.

Moving to Louisiana means you have to get used to some stifling hot weather. Luckily for Kiffin, he’s already used to the heat, thanks to his workouts of choice: hot yoga and hot pilates. In fact, one of his first major sightings in Baton Rouge after announcing his coaching role at LSU was at a Yoglates class. Since then, he’s been a frequent patron at Evolve Studio, taking classes that bring the intensity—and high temps. That’s one way to prep for those sunny gamedays.

With early morning posts featuring his coffee maker churning out CC’s Coffee House’s Cypress Sunrise Blend, it’s clear that Kiffin loves an energy boost. When he’s not making his cup of joe at home, he’s been known to frequent shops like Pura Vida Coffee Bar, Reve Coffee Lab and Light House Coffee.

But coffee isn’t the only jolting bev that Kiffin sips. He’s also a loaded tea fan, with Rouge Nutrition and Tiger Nutrition being some of his faves.

Of course, coming to Baton Rouge means that Kiffin has had the opportunity to indulge in some of our tasty foodways. And judging by how many restaurants he’s put on his feed, we can tell he’s eating good. Sorry, Oxford. Food in the Red Stick is just better.

Kiffin seems to have had a bit of a gastronomical tour—with stops ranging from fine dining options to tried-and-true classics. Phil’s Oyster Bar, BLDG 5, Homakase and Colonel’s Club have made appearances on Kiffin’s X account, and he’s also been spotted at Supper Club, Walk-On’s and Court to Table. And as a celebrity guest onboard Raising Cane’s float at this year’s Wearin’ of the Green parade, we bet he’s treated himself to a Box Combo or two from Baton Rouge’s resident chicken finger brand.
