Galatoire’s Bistro puts the spotlight on Louisiana breweries this week.

The restaurant at 3535 Perkins Road will host a local breweries beer dinner Thursday, June 25, at 7 p.m. The event includes a five-course meal and passed hors d’oeuvres. The cost is $60 per person. To make your reservation, call 753-4864.

This week’s dinner features dishes prepared by the restaurant’s executive chef Kelley McCann and beers from NOLA Brewing, Bayou Teche Biere, 40 Arpent Brewing Company, Chafunkta Brewing Company and Gnarly Barley Brewing Company. The fifth course will feature Bucky’s Blackberry Hefeweizen, a beer brewed out of Wilshire Brewery by Galatoire’s own Blake Hernandez.

Hors d’oeuvres: Seared beef with piquillo peppers and shallot jam, veal liver and caramelized onion brochette, fried oyster with saffron aioli and pickles, paired with NOLA Brewing’s 7th Street Wheat

First course: Grilled Louisiana shrimp with preserved peaches, garlic chips and ciabatta crostinis, paired with Bayou Teche’s Bayou Peche IPA

Second course: Roasted duck breast with hericot verts salad, figs, walnut vinaigrette and shaved smoked gouda, paired with 40 Arpent Copasaw Dunkleweiss

Third course: Pompano en Papillote with red curry and roasted tomatoes, paired with Chafunkta Vookaray IPA

Fourth course: Braised oxtail with red wine jus, pea shoots and Sherry vinegar, paired with Gnarly Barley Korova Milk Porter

Fifth course: Stuffed beignet with lemon-scented honey goat cheese and stewed blackberries, paired with Wilshire Brewery Bucky’s Blackberry Hefeweizen
