Dine out for Thanksgiving at these Baton Rouge restaurants


Whether your turkey’s too dry, your time’s too short or your crew’s got something bigger in mind, there’s an eatery in Baton Rouge for you this Thanksgiving. Hustle to make a reservation at one of these buffets or prix fixe dinners before it’s too late!


Crowne Plaza
The hotel’s Thanksgiving buffet will be blending traditional and Cajun holiday cuisines with turkey, seafood gumbo, cornbread dressing, Gulf fish Acadian, corn maque choux and sweet potato pie. The buffet will open in shifts at 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. and costs $28 for adults, $22 for seniors and $14 for children 6-12. Call 925-2244 for reservations.

L’Auberge Casino & Hotel
L’Auberge’s Bon Temps Buffet will serve up Thanksgiving classics all day long, so pay the $30 entry fee and pile your plate with turkey and stuffing 11 a.m.-10 p.m. If you don’t want to wait until Black Friday to empty your pockets, you can hit the slot machines while you’re there.

Juban’s Creole Restaurant
Keeping Thanksgiving fancy means pulling up a seat at Juban’s, where the Turkey Day prix fixe menu includes oven-roasted turkey with andouille cornbread dressing, pan gravy, haricots vert and a cranberry ginger relish. Galatoire’s Bistro
The classy local restaurant offers up a Thanksgiving a la carte menu with a selection of appetizers, soups and salads, entrees like roasted turkey breast or stuffed quail, sides and desserts all in the traditional Southern style. Sullivan’s Steakhouse
Another luxury prix fixe menu comes fresh from the oven at Sullivan’s, which will be dishing out turkey with sweet onion apple-sage stuffing along with soups, salads and desserts like chocolate pecan pie and bananas foster bread pudding. The Gregory
Located inside the chic new Watermark Hotel, The Gregory’s gourmet kitchen will serve up a prix fixe menu including brown butter corn and Gulf shrimp bisque, charcoal-roasted turkey with buttermilk gizzard gravy, slow-roasted Berkshire pork belly and butternut bread pudding with a whiskey butter sauce. Tallulah Crafted Food & Wine Bar
The Renaissance Hotel’s own bistro will serve up a Thanksgiving dinner 5-10 p.m. with offerings like sweet potato andouille bisque, roasted turkey and bourbon-glazed pecan pie. Snag your seat for $22 per person. Call 388-5710 for reservations.

Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center
The Hilton’s annual Thanksgiving brunch will feature a buffet with roasted pumpkin and crap soup, five different entree options, a salad station, smoked beef roast and Cajun fried turkey at the carving station, plus tons of desserts from fruit cobblers to pumpkin pie. Seats cost $40 for adults and $20 for children ages 12 and under. Call 344-5866 for reservations.

Boudreaux’s Catering
These Mid City caterers are offering a Thanksgiving buffet with all the fixings, included smoked turkey, a whole roasted pig, garlic mashed potatoes, chestnut soup, mac and cheese and more. Adults pay $29, while kids 5-10 can eat for $12 per plate. Call 383-5886 for more info.

Mansur’s On the Boulevard is booked up for Thanksgiving, but try them for Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve.
