Dine Roundup: Writers discuss ‘The Louisiana Field Guide’ Sunday
Maggie Heyn Richardson, 225 contributor and food writer, will join Alex V. Cook, Wayne Parent and Ryan Orgera to discuss their work on the book The Louisiana Field Guide Sunday at 4 p.m. at Baton Rouge Gallery. Richardson wrote the book’s chapter on food, titled “The Local Diet,” which focuses on the state’s local and seasonal fare. For more information on the event, click here.
Walk-On’s donates $3,400 to Komen Foundation
Walk-On’s Enterprises announced Wednesday that it will donate more than $3,400 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation following its October fundraising initiative at all Walk-On’s locations throughout the state. The restaurant and bar donated $3 from every $6 “Tata-Tini” Cosmopolitan customers purchased during October to the Komen Foundation. All four locations of Walk-On’s participated in the fundraiser.
