Baton Rouge loses its last Quiznos restaurant
The Quiznos chain went under in Baton Rouge as fast-casual sandwich shops and burger joints clutter the local market.
The Quiznos in Southgate Village on Burbank Drive is the last of three in Baton Rouge to close. Two others—one on Essen Lane and one on Corporate Boulevard—closed in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
Franchisee Melvin Ray Moton tells Daily Report he opened the Burbank location in 2004 before the sandwich market was swamped with other restaurants like Which Wich, Jimmy John’s and Firehouse Subs.
