Movie Tavern expands with third Louisiana location in Denham Springs

Dallas-based cinema-eatery chain Movie Tavern has officially opened at Juban Crossing in Denham Springs.

The new location is Movie Tavern’s third and largest cinema-eatery in Louisiana. It features 46,000 square feet of space, a full bar and power recliners throughout all 11 auditoriums, and full service in-theater dining.

Walk-Ons to open Houston location

Baton Rouge-based Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar is heading to Houston in late 2016.

Walk-On’s Enterprises co-founder and owner Brandon Landry announced that the company has executed an Area Development Agreement covering the Houston market with restaurateur and franchise operator Brandon Hargrave.

Hargrave is also introducing the brand to Covington this year, and has plans to open 10 Walk-On’s locations throughout the Houston area over the next several years.


Freddy’s to open April 3 in Baton Rouge

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will open early next month at 6464 Siegen Lane. The restaurant planned to open March 20, but due to a few construction delays, the opening was pushed to April.

The Kansas-based retro-style chain features steakburgers, hot dogs and other fast-food staples, plus its specialty, frozen custard.

Freddy’s will be opening a location in Lafayette’s Ambassador Town Center later this spring.
