National TV show to document rebuilding of flood-damaged Denham Springs bar
A new episode of Spike TV’s Bar Rescue will feature Big Mike’s Sports Bar & Grill.
Bar Rescue normally helps makeover struggling bars and restaurants, but the upcoming episode offers a different spin: remaking a successful restaurant that was devastated by August’s flooding.
Big Mike’s Bar & Grill took in over 6 feet of water in the flood, according to a press release. Owners Mike and Jocelyn O’Neal also lost their home—and so did many of the restaurant’s employees.
Big Mike’s plans to relaunch and reveal the fixed-up restaurant at an event this Sunday, Oct. 16. Time for the event was TBD as of press time. Stay tuned to Big Mike’s Facebook page for updates on the reopening and air date of the episode.
