Dinner in the Field tickets on sale now

Tickets for Slow Food Baton Rouge’s annual Dinner in the Field are now on sale, with an early bird special available until April 1.

Ticket prices range from $20 to $150 plus fees. Check the event site for more details.

Dinner in the Field, with local chefs serving courses sourced from area farms, takes place May 1, 4-7:30 p.m., at a location to be announced later.


Donner-Peltier Distilleries tasting tonight, March 9

Donner-Peltier Distillers, creators of eclectic handcrafted Louisiana liquors, will hold a sample tasting at The Radio Bar for its tasting of the month Wednesday, March 9, 5-7 p.m.

The Donner-Peltier Distillers have created liquors such as LA 1 Whiskey, Oryza Vodka & Gin and Rougaroux Rum. Radio Bar patrons will receive a free logo shot glass with the purchase of any mixed drink or cocktail made with LA 1 Whiskey and Oryza Vodka & Gin.


St. Patrick’s Day crawfish boil and dance party

The Radio Bar will host its St. Patrick’s Day crawfish boil and dance party Saturday, March 12, 2-7 p.m.

Sean Braswell from Simple Joe Cafe and Confectionary will boil crawfish to be sold by the tray, and DJ Clay of Community Radio WHYR 96.9 FM will be spinning records from the Motown era.


Crawfish color run at the Cottages of Baton Rouge

The Cottages of Baton Rouge is putting on a crawfish color run, with free crawfish and tank tops to be included upon registration, Sunday, March 13 at 11 a.m.

A color run is a paint race in which runners are showered with colored powders along the run. Winners will receive cash prizes. Register for the crawfish color run here.
