Dine Roundup: Dining in the Dark benefit and more food events
Lighthouse Louisiana to host its third annual blindfolded dinner
Enjoy food, drinks and music all while blindfolded for Lighthouse Louisiana’s “Dining in the Dark.”
The event on Tuesday, Nov. 15, begins at 6:30 p.m. at Ruffino’s Catering at De La Ronde Hall at 320 Third St. “Dining in the Dark” is meant to bring awareness to the day-to-day of the blind, according to a press release.
Tickets are $150 per person or $250 for couple tickets. The proceeds will go toward Lighthouse Louisiana’s post-flood recovery. The facility took in three feet of water, according to the press release, and will use the ticket sales to rebuild their programs.

Mistletoe Market brings a ‘shopping extravaganza’ to Belle of Baton Rouge
Start preparing for the holiday season with Mistletoe Market of Baton Rouge this Saturday and Sunday.
At the Belle of Baton Rouge’s Atrium, families can shop among the many in-state and out-of-state vendors. More than 6,000 families attended to shop through 150-plus merchants last year, according to a press release.
Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Nov. 12 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Nov. 13. Admission is $6. Half of the proceeds will be donated to a terminal illness children’s organization within the Baton Rouge area, according to the press release.
