Dine Roundup: Bin Q tastings, Bayou Beer Fest in Houma
Beer, vodka and rum tastings at Bin Q this week
Bin Q Liquor hosts three tastings this week. The Perkins Road store will feature Lazy Magnolia Brewery and Cathead Vodka Thursday, Nov. 13, 5 p.m.-7 p.m. The brewery will be showing off its new IPA, Southern Hospitality, as well as classics like Southern Pecan, Jefferson Stout and Timber Beast beers. Cathead will bring its Bristow Gin, as well as some of its vodkas. Old New Orleans Rum will host a tasting of its Crystal, Three-Year and spiced rums Friday, Nov. 14, at the store. On the road: Try tons of beers at Bayou Beer Fest
Take a drive to Houma for the Bayou Beer Fest. The festival kicks off at noon Saturday, Nov. 15, at the historic Southdown Plantation. Some of the breweries at the event include Tin Roof, Bayou Teche Brewing, Chafunkta Brewing Company and Mudbug Brewery. Soul Creole will provide music. General admission tickets are $30.
