‘Daily Report’: Kalurah Street Grill offering in-home meals ahead of January opening
Kalurah Street Grill, a new restaurant set to occupy the iconic building formerly home to Chelsea’s Cafe at the Perkins Road overpass, is selling in-home dinners for private parties and gatherings ahead of the January opening of its brick and mortar location.
The restaurant, at 2857 Perkins Road, will feature a cocktail bar, live music and a menu crafted by executive chef Kelley McCann, formerly of Galatoire’s Bistro, when it opens for a private party for family and friends on Dec. 31, says marketing director Chelsey Blankenship. The restaurant is set to open to the public in the first week of January.
McCann, though, is already cooking meals at private homes and for holiday parties, customizing the types of cuisine and prices, Blankenship says.
