LSU alum and New Jersey chef Nicole Gaffney is keeping her spirits up after she lost out on Food Network Star over the weekend. Gaffney placed in the top three on the show, where contestants from around the country compete for their own cooking show on the Food Network. Chef Lenny McNab of DeBeque, Colorado, won and will produce a cowboy-style cooking show.
After Sunday’s season 10 finale, Gaffney says she wasn’t surprised at the results, but overall, she had a good experience.
“Lenny [McNab] is a born entertainer, and [runner-up] Luca Della Casa has that Italian charm,” she says. “Both can cook their pants off. It was an honor to sit next to them both, and I’m so happy for Lenny. He deserves it.”
