In case you missed it: Beausoleil, Juban’s partners buy Christina’s restaurant; McAlister’s Deli closes

Christina’s restaurant now under new ownership

A partnership that includes the owners of Beausoleil and Juban’s recently bought the iconic downtown restaurant Christina’s.

Beausoleil executive chef and co-owner Nathan Gresham, Beausoleil co-owner Jeff Conaway, and Juban’s owners Michael Boudreaux and Kenny Juban say they don’t plan to make any major changes to the diner or its menu.

The four bought the restaurant from previous owner Michael Bannister, who had been running the establishment since the death of his sister and the original owner, Christina Bannister, earlier this year. Christina’s was established at its 320 St. Charles St. location more than 20 years ago and has since garnered a loyal following of regular patrons.
