‘Business Report’: Pastime Junior closes

The Pastime Junior at 3482 Drusilla Lane has closed. The restaurant, which had operated in the Drusilla Shopping Center since the mid-2000s, had its last day in operation Saturday. The eatery brought many of the menu favorites from the original downtown Pastime, including po-boys, calzones and its signature Boudin Pizza, to the Bocage, Tara and Jefferson Highway neighborhoods in south Baton Rouge. Donnie Jarreau, who acquired the shopping center for $10.5 million earlier this month, says the restaurant’s owners had decided not to renew their lease prior to his acquisition of the 140,000-square-foot center.
