‘Business Report’: Modern Meals to open on Model Block this summer

Modern Meals—a takeout restaurant for fresh, healthy, pre-packaged meals—will become the new kid on Model Block. Co-owners Ashley Munnerlyn and Marcy David will open their first location at 2919 Government St. this summer. The kitchen will operate out of a 2,000-square-foot space adjacent to Denicola’s Furniture & Upholstery—much roomier than Munnerlyn’s home kitchen, where she started the business a year ago. Modern Meals will welcome walk-ins for pre-packaged, microwavable breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks and juices, but will also offer meal plans customized by body type. Read the full story.
