Abita’s seasonal Seersucker Summer Pils returns

Summer is seersucker season for Abita Brewing Company. No, the Louisiana brewery isn’t dressing up its beers in the fashionable fabric. Abita has just released its Seersucker Summer Pils, a traditional pilsner with a full-bodied malt flavor and light golden color. The beer, which debuted last summer, pairs well with summer dishes such as garden salads, grilled entrées and even spicy dishes. Seersucker Summer Pils is now available in six-pack bottles in stores until September. The brewery is also hosting a social media contest where fans can show their best seersucker look by sharing a selfie using the hashtag #abitaselfie for a chance to win a seersucker suit or dress from Perlis Clothing. —Matthew Sigur
