Zoo lightens up for the holidays

Bring the whole family and check out the start of a brand-new Baton Rouge holiday tradition at the inaugural season of Zoolights, beginning this Friday at the Baton Rouge Zoo. Be amazed at the larger-than-life light displays scattered around the animal habitats while you wander the zoo after hours. Visitors can warm up with hot cocoa and other treats available to purchase throughout the zoo grounds. Thursday through Sunday evenings through Dec. 23. 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Admission ranges from $5 to $3 depending on age. brzoo.org
