You ‘Know It’

Call Life as We Know It the son of Baby Boom. In 1987, Diane Keaton played an upwardly mobile yuppie who’s life is thrown for a loop when she “inherits” a child from a distant relative. Now Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel play a mismatched pair picked as godparents for an infant girl, and when the girl’s parents die tragically, they are awarded the bundle of joy—and stress in last fall’s romantic comedy out now on DVD. Both of these singles are on a steep learning curve when it comes to raising a child, but as time passes and they hurdle challenge after challenge, the once antagonistic friends grow to appreciate each other.
