Wuthering Heist!
Former LSU Athletic Director Skip Bertman, Mayor Kip Holden and other local dignitaries will help unveil Baton Rouge’s latest high-profile exhibit this month. The only problem is the paintings will be stolen.
Fine art and modern, site-specific theater converge May 4-8 for a new, interactive event called Heist! that will utilize all floors, spaces, nooks and crannies of the Shaw Center for the Arts and the LSU Museum of Art for two shows each night.
Actors will draw small groups of visitors into a quest for clues throughout the museum in a zany, fun-filled caper inspired equally by Ocean’s Eleven and The Naked Gun.

“We wanted to create an immersive theatre experience,” says Heist! writer Deborah Stein, a New York City-based veteran of theater who spent more than two weeks rehearsing with LSU acting masters students and coordinating with Swine Palace for the interactive event. “It’ll be high energy with lots of humor.”
Heist! is directed by Sean Daniels.
