World’s largest crawfish boil

The Louisiana Crawfish Promotion & Research Board will be boiling up more than 15,000 pounds of crawfish Saturday, May 17 at the inaugural World’s Largest Crawfish Boil at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales. The event kicks off with the Pro Start high school cook-off competition, judged by the Louisiana Restaurant Association at 12:30 p.m. The $10 admission fee includes live entertainment with a Louisiana Idol talent competition and live bands Groovin’ and Kenny Cornett & Killin Time, plus three pounds of boiled crawfish to call your very own.
