An ’80s action classic gets the remake treatment. RoboCop returns to the silver screen with an updated take from director José Padilha (Elite Squad: The Enemy Within). The film roughly follows the same plotline of the original, where a critically injured cop becomes part-man, part-robot in a corporation’s scheme to bring new technology to police work. However, with updates in CGI and special effects as well as a supporting cast featuring Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton and Samuel L. Jackson, this could be a rare remake that rivals its original.
