The teens who fought crime in the 2010 hit are back to serve up some more justice. This weekend’s top movie is another sequel: Kick-A** 2. The first installment in the franchise was the sleeper hit of the summer of 2010. While it was generally praised and has more than a cult following, some chided the film’s use of ultra-violence. The sequel picks up on the title character’s latest adventures to rid the city of evil with Hit Girl (Chloë Moretz) and a new character, Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey). Carrey has already taken to Twitter to speak out against the film’s use of violence; but director Jeff Wadlow says the film is more about the consequences. Decide for yourself this weekend. Rated R.
