Whispers
Local model Jacquelyn Lindsey met actor Josh Brolin at the wrap party for Spike Lee’s new thriller Old Boy. The star was in Louisiana for several months shooting the remake of the hit Korean film that co-stars Samuel L. Jackson and Elizabeth Olsen.
“It’s always fun to meet and hang out with celebrities because you get a taste of the glamorous lifestyle they live,” Lindsey says.
“We had a fun night. There’s no doubt that Josh is a stud who knows how to have a good time!”

One former Baton Rougean is working in the office of an acclaimed actress and controversial activist who later became a workout video star in the 1980s. Can you guess the celebrity?
“My favorite thing [about working for her] is the tote bags, T-shirts and coffee mugs with her mug shot from 1970,” says our source. “It’s a great image, but it also puts into perspective how young she was when she went to Vietnam. Regardless of the politics, it was an incredibly brave thing to do. I have always admired her for standing up for her beliefs, and the more I learn about her and her work for non-profits like Georgia Campaign for Prevention of Adolescent Pregnancy, the more my admiration grows.”
December’s Stabbed in the Art event was the last of the monthly, volunteer-driven art shows to be held at 1284 Artspace Perkins in the Garden District. Stabbed in the Art organizers, including College District co-founder Jared Loftus, are currently searching for a new venue for the event, and will take January off in order to focus on a relaunch aimed for February. Turn to page 45 to read about big changes happening at the venue this year. Loftus is considering a Kickstarter campaign to raise community awareness of the monthly event. “We’d like to keep it going,” he told supporters last month. “We’ve been looking into other places to have it, and we’re definitely open to suggestions or offers to host.”
