Coming to America gets a malevolent makeover this Friday with Borat star Sasha Baron Cohen’s latest farcical character and society-baiting comedy, The Dictator. Summoned by the U.N. to answer questions about his burgeoning nuclear power program, the ruthless dictator of a small African nation travels to America and immerses himself in modern culture while trying to keep democracy from spreading to the people he keeps under awkward oppression. Seinfeld director Larry Charles directs, and Anna Faris and Ben Kingsley co-star. Rated R.
