We’ve got Spirit

Fans waiting on a sequel to Frank Miller’s comic bookish fantasy film Sin City will have to settle for The Spirit, a similarly-styled noir caper Miller has directed from Will Eisner’s popular graphic novel. Opening Friday, Gabriel Macht stars as the titular specter, a murdered cop who returns from the afterlife to face Central City’s criminals, including Samuel L. Jackson’s mastermind The Octopuss, and a bevy of beauties who would either seduce him or finish him for good. Scarlett Johansson, Jaime King, Eva Mendes and Sarah Paulson co-star. Rated PG-13.
