Wes Anderson’s latest reunites estranged brothers

Treading ground similar to The Royal Tenenbaums and Rushmore, though with less immediate results, Wes Anderson’s quirky, comedic stewpot The Darjeeling Limited stars Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody and Jason Schwartzman as estranged brothers who reunite after the death of their father for a train adventure through the realms of India. Both aimless and spiritual, melancholy and manic, this beautifully shot film should satisfy fans of the Anderson aesthetic. Rated R. Out on DVD now.
