Well Suited: Captain Kirk

The captain of the USS Enterprise requires no introduction. As the daughter of a Star Trek fan, I try to be well-versed in the technicalities of the story. Key word: “try.” I have never been a sci-fi buff, but I can keep up with conversations about Star Trek vs. Star Wars. I bought this shirt a over a year ago solely because it reminded me of Captain Kirk…which made me think of William Shatner…which made me smile. Sometimes that should be the only reason you buy something.

One of the great things about this shirt is that, to the keen eyes of geekdom, I am Captain Kirk. To the unknowing eye, however, I just look like someone who likes to be comfortable but still cool at the office. These pants are leggings disguised as pants, I’m convinced! They stretch with me all day and give me an excuse to wear flowy blouses rather than have something tight around me when I am sitting all day.
