Travel into the mind of Dr. Seuss with this Playmakers of Baton Rouge production. In Seussical Jr., The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton the elephant and his discovery of the Whos. The musical combines a few of Seuss’ classic stories and features the local company’s young professional actors. Performances of the musical start Thursday at 7 p.m. with a pay-what-you-can performance. Friday’s show is at 7 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday’s show times are 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Shows run through Aug. 31 at LSU’s Reilly Theatre. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased here.
