Watch Will Smith as a superhero in Hancock on Friday

It’s a sign of modern times when even our superheroes need public relations makeovers. Of course Will Smith’s hard-drinking, rags-wearing Hancock isn’t exactly Captain America. Director Peter Berg brings his sly take on the comic book ethos to the big screen, and Smith gets plenty of wiggle room to go from fallen star to supernova with the help of Jason Bateman’s level-headed image guru.
