Walls Project’s downtown gallery
In February, the Baton Rouge-based Walls Project, the arts group responsible for several large-scale murals and community events, opened its first permanent headquarters on Florida Boulevard. It’s called the Walls Project Art & Design Center, and founder Casey Phillips gave 225 a tour of the new space in downtown B.R.
1 We stripped down the space to create an open-air industrial decor conducive to daily artistic and business collisions with members of the Walls organization.
2 We have launched a line of art-inspired t-shirts, pillows, and prints in our merch store.

3 The front lounge will be a rotating furniture and decor installation in partnership with Monochrome, Denicola’s and Artvark.
4 The gallery space, which currently showcases nationally renowned artist and LSU MFA graduate David Williams and local sculptor Nathan Logsdon. Shows will rotate every month.
5 Our next exhibition debuts May 3 when the Elevator Projects will curate a photo installation experience that will challenge people’s sense of gender identity. It’s called Vestigial by artist Jesse Guillory.
