Video installation challenges and complements art at LSUMOA

For a new take on the old, stop by the “Portraiture: Style and Ornament” installation at the LSU Museum of Art. This unorthodox exhibit showcases 17th and 18th century portraits alongside mixtape videos created by multidimensional New Orleans producer Rashaad Newsome. The juxtaposition of old-school art and contemporary production in Newsome’s Swag the Mix Tape, Vol. 1 aims to show how displays of wealth and status look throughout history.
