Vantage Point dissects assassination attempt; DVD out now

Since Crash was a surprise Oscar winner a few years ago, multi-narrative blockbusters are the latest trend, and probably the latest trend to get worn out. Vantage Point spins this tactic to the crime drama, as an overseas assassination attempt on the president is analyzed and dissected from eight, count them, eight points of view. Fans of 24 should enjoy it if they don’t mind having the clock rewound every 20 minutes. William Hurt, Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox and Forest Whitaker star. Rated PG-13.
