V-Tones will rock to their hearts’ content

The V-Tones, that venerable party band known for rocking classic songs from the 1980s and 1990s, will perform a benefit concert Saturday, May 14, at the Varsity Theatre.

The concert, called “Oh Heart,” is sponsored by Louisiana Public Broadcasting, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association. The show starts at 9 p.m., and tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door.

The V-Tones’ catalogue covers four decades of Americana, and its members bring a decidedly therapeutic bent to the stage—four of them are practicing physicians.
