Uplifting the Coast Festival

This three-day, weekend-long festival for coastal relief is moving to Baton Rouge this year—and getting even bigger, with live music, carnival rides, a classic car show, chefs cooking up their specialties on the festival grounds and much more. The Chris LeBlanc Band, LeRoux and other popular live acts will perform, and this year’s earnings will benefit the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana and Coastal Roots, an LSU program that equips more than 2,000 students in 40 schools across 16 parishes to plant seedlings along the coast. Admission is $5 for all-day access to the fun. Friday-Sunday at the Baton Rouge Fairgrounds, 16072 Airline Hwy.
