True Cajun stories

Do you know the true story of the Cajuns? This Sunday, the LSU Museum of Art will present the documentary Against the Tide, a film that tackles the epic Cajun story from their initial journey to the New World, to exile from Nova Scotia, to reunions with family in Louisiana. It’s the story of the Louisiana’s French settlers as told by their direct descendants. Director Pat Mire will be on-hand after the screening to answer questions and talk about the research behind the film.
