Tin Roof prepping special brews for Craft Beer Week

In two weeks, Louisiana Craft Beer Week will find local beer lovers crowding the bars and toasting to the finest state brews. In Baton Rouge, Tin Roof Brewing is upping the ante, crafting new versions of its popular beers.

On Thursday, Sept. 26, Tin Roof will showcase a cask-conditioned Tin Roof Blonde, dry-hopped with citra hops, at The Bulldog at 6 p.m. The additional ingredients give the beer a nice aroma and enhanced flavor. This will be the first time the brewery has prepped the Blonde in a cask.

On Friday, Sept. 27, The Pelican House hosts a tasting of a Chili Pepper Blonde Ale, with just a hint of pepper flavor, at 6 p.m. Also that Friday, Tin Roof hosts its weekly tour and will have a last-minute surprise brew for visitors. Tastings will also be set up at Matherne’s locations on Bluebonnet Boulevard and Highland Road at 4 p.m. For more information, click here. —Matthew Sigur
