Time to Kill

Mickey Rourke may have gotten tons of press and awards—and rightfully so—for his comeback performance in The Wrestler, but in a strange way it is comforting to know that Rourke hasn’t quite given up his day job. The man takes a B-movie and makes it watchable like no one else. New on DVD is Killshot, with Rourke in familiar territory as a hitman. In this adaptation of Elmore Leonard’s novel, Rourke’s “Blackbird” Degas hunts for a couple hiding in witness protection. Diane Lane and Thomas Jane are the targets, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Rosario Dawson also in the mix. Rated R.
