Tidbits: CC’s releases line of specialty teas … Cocktails at the LSU Museum of Art
CC’s Community Coffee House has created a new line of specialty whole-leaf teas. In total, nine hot teas and six iced teas will be sold by the cup or packaged in tins to take home. “In addition to being delicious, these new teas were created with Southern tea drinkers in mind,” says Celton Hayden Jr., CC’s retail operations general manager. The new teas include black, green and herbal varieties. The latest iced flavors run the gamut from strawberry to magnolia berry. Join bar master Luke Tullos of Jolie’s Louisiana Bistro tonight from 6-8 p.m. at the LSU Museum of Art as he creates innovative cocktails in the classic tradition. Tullos will delve into the significance of cocktails in history and culture and their evolution over time. This program complements “Beer, Wine & Spirits,” an exhibition currently on display in the museum’s Decorative Arts case and Friends of the LSU Museum of Art Gallery. Additional works from the permanent collection will be brought out from the vault, rounding out Tullos’ presentation. Tickets are required for admittance and can be purchased through the Museum or Museum Store. Attendees must be 21 years or older. Visit lsumoa.com for more information.
