Third Thursday gets stylish sendoff

The LSU Museum of Art holds its final Third Thursday this week. Budget shortages are bringing the popular music and art get-together to an end for the foreseeable future, so if you’ve ever enjoyed an LSU MOA event, make sure to come out and show your love with drink specials and complimentary food. This week allows you to buy and custom-paint a pair of eco-friendly TOMS shoes; for every pair purchased, TOMS will donate a pair to children in need.  And if you’d rather not trust your own talent, you can have your new kicks painted by one of the local artists in attendance, including T.J. Black, Brad Bourgoyne, Brittany Howard, and Marc “Fresh” Verrett. $5 for members, $10 for non-members. 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. (Photo courtesy Cocolico.com)
