There and ‘Hereafter’

Clint Eastwood is back with a new film that pushes his master storytelling into strange psychological territory. In one of three narratives woven together thematically, Hereafter stars Matt Damon as a formerly popular psychic with a mystical connection to the afterlife who is affected by mortality in a dramatic way. Across the globe a French journalist bears witness to a devastating tsunami and a young English boy loses the person most important to him. All three are searching for answers to the mysteries and the meaning of life, and at the age of 80, perhaps Eastwood is too. Rated R. Cecile de France, Bryce Dallas Howard and Richard Kind co-star.
