The zoo says boo!

The Baton Rouge Zoo invites kids and their families to join them for their 16th annual “merry-not-scary” trick-or-treating event, Boo at the Zoo. Wear your best costumes and wander the zoo grounds, trick-or-treat at various zoo exhibits, ride the spooky train, wander through the hay maze and visit the zoo’s seasonal cave of wonders, the Boo Den. Then finish off your afternoon with a safari snapshot with one of the zoo’s animals, including Penny the elephant. This Saturday and Sunday, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., and next weekend, Oct. 27-28. brzoo.org
